Bio:     Juliette met Zuberi when he was undercover in the tunnel system of Gotham.  She and her sisters, Chrissie and Shanna, fled Pennsylvania and their abusive stepfather after their mother’s death in search of their Aunt Deena.  Unable to locate her, the three girls moved into the tunnels for safety, not planning to stay long.  When Juliette met Zuberi, her youngest sister, Shanna was gravely ill with no hope of medical care in sight.  Their story cut Zuberi to the heart, as well as his mother, who was listening through the surveillance system she set up to monitor her son while he was undercover.

Enlisting the help of Bruce Wayne, the girls are recovered from the tunnels and Dr. Bryce Delatorre provides medical care for Shanna.  The stepfather comes for the girls, but because of the allegations of abuse, they are put in the care of Alex and Emily Norton through ‘foster’ care until their aunt can be located.

Eventually, Aunt Deena is found, but unfortunately, she is suffering from advanced Multiple Sclerosis and cannot provide constant care for them.  With no other blood relations, she does willingly allow the Nortons to adopt the girls, but unlike the other adoptions, she remains a constant in the girls’ lives.  They visit her on the weekends and continue to have a family bond.  It’s healthy and happy and loving.  And though it takes a while, the girls bond well into the Norton family, especially with Zuberi and the remaining Norton children in the household.
